He was predeceased by: his sons, John Patrick McIllwain and Kerry Todd McIllwain; and his parents, Everett McIllwain and Hazel McIllwain. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his daughter Donna Nally (Mark) of Henderson, Kentucky; his brother Sam McIllwain (Mimi) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Megan McIllwain Ragland (Jared), Ashlea Johns (Will), Bethany McIllwain, Amanda Nally Casey (Matt) and Ryan Nally; and his great grandchildren, Avery Johns, Adley Johns, Emerson Casey and Blythe Casey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
