She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Cowan and Nellie Cowan (Waverly "Pete" Gish); and her daughters, Donna Jones and Gayla Owens. She is survived by: her husband Gilmer Thomas of Henderson, KY; her children, Judy Gaines of Henderson, KY and Ricky Gish of Henderson, KY; her stepdaughters, Norma Rankin of Paducah, KY, Esther Thomas of Henderson, KY and Lisa Majors of Louisville, KY; and her sister Barbara Willis of Petersburg, IN. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
