She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gary and Annie Gary (Philips); her son Timothy "Timmy" W. Pirtle; her siblings, John Gary, Harold Gary, Sue Gary Eaden and Michael Gary; and her grandchildren, Shelly Hayes and Thomas L. Pirtle Jr..
She is survived by: her children, James "Billy" W. Pirtle Jr. (Connie Baty), Thomas "Tommy" L. Pirtle (Theresa) and Randall "Randy" G. Pirtle (Donna); and her brother Ray Gary (Alice). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
