He is survived by: his wife Marsha Cates; his children, Paul Cammon Cates (Drina) and Elizabeth Cates Richardson (James); his stepdaughter Lori A. Priest (Neal); his sister Ann Tanner; and his grandchildren, River and Kally Priest. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
