He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Gardner and Grace Gardner (Kiss); his brother Dean Gardner; his son Daniel Gardner Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Campbell and Ron Bristow.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marilyn Campbell (late Jerry Campbell) and Karen Lienhard (Michael); and his grandchildren, Avery Gardner, Grant Gardner, Gracie Gardner and Lainey Gardner.
