She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Willie Edward and Roberta Higgins, Sr. (Carter); her grandson Maurice W. Hay III; and her siblings, Roberta Higgins, Mattie, David, Mose, Marvin, Freddie, Reverend Ira Charles, Sterling (Duck), James (Mule) and Willie Jr. Higgins (June).
She is survived by: her husband Maurice W. Hay, Sr.; her children, Maurice W. Hay, Jr. (Becky), Carol of Henderson, KY, Tonja of Henderson, KY and Joette Hay of Henderson, KY; her granddaughter Maurisha Hay of Chattanooga, TN; and her sisters, Velma Brown of Evansville, IN and Pearl Banks Sr. (Donald) of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted sons and daughters, and friends.
