It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Joe Howard of Helton, Kentucky, born in Louisa, Kentucky, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Young Howard and Lottie Gamble Howard; and his siblings, Hassel Howard, Jackie Howard, Willie "Darby" Howard, Ranson Howard, Hammer Howard, Walter Howard and Reva Howard Gipson.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Howard (Pauline) of Prestonsburg, Joshua Howard of Salyersville, Hassel Howard (Mary) of Prestonsburg, Billy G. Howard (Elizabeth) of Miami, Misty Fletcher (Tony) of Royalton, Lottie Reed of Royalton, Tonya Goble (Michael) of Prestonsburg, Mary Csizmadia (Lloyd) of Paintsville, Linda Bradley (Ronnie) of Royalton, Angel Dorton (Chris) of Paintsville, Amanda Gillispie (Michael) of Charlette, Rose Mary Newcomb of Evansville and Diana Howard of Prestonsburg; and his siblings, Paul Douglas Howard (Sheila) of Salyersville, Allision Howard (Sherry) of Salyersville, Gordan Howard (Tammy) of Marion, Wanda Miller of Marion and Nora Alice Howard of Salyersville. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
