She was predeceased by: her parents, David Osborn and Selma Osborn; and her husband Donald Lainhart. She is survived by: her sister Ella Stambaugh; her niece Lana Stambaugh (John); and her nephews, Neal Stambaugh (Krista) and Scott Stambaugh (Amy).

In honor of Virginia's love for animals, specifically cats, memorials are suggested to the Boone County Animal Shelter 5643 Idlewild Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.
