Louis Joseph Petrie Obituary
Louis Joseph Petrie of Kentucky passed away on September 4, 2022 with his family by his side. He was 79 years old. He was born at St Michael's Hospital in Newark, NJ. He spent the early part of his life at the Jersey Shore, after getting married and having two children. He would later find the love of his life and marry for a second time. Together they moved to and remained in Kentucky for close to 50 years until the death of his beloved wife Alda in 2018. Louis became a resident of Harrison Pavilion in Cincinnati Ohio shortly thereafter. It wasn't long before he stole the hearts of many of the employees and residents earning him the nick names Sweet Lou and Santa Clause. In his prime he enjoyed living the Kentucky outdoor life style of hunting and fishing. He was an avid gun owner. He also enjoyed listening to rock n roll music specifically Elvis. He loved watching his favorite football teams the Pittsburg Stealers and the Green Bay Packers. During his time at Harrison Pavilion he took pride in being as independent as possible. He would later be reunited with his daughters in the summer of 2022 and met his granddaughters and great granddaughter for the first time. He was full of joy and happiness and loved holding his great granddaughter Avyanna. He was also a proud grandfather to his grandson Gene. He leaves behind his daughters Kim Petrie-Romer of Tomsriver, NJ; Alana Petrie-Jacobs of Jackson, NJ; his grandson Gene Cskanay of Brick, NJ; granddaughters Alana Olson of Long Branch, NJ; and Morgan Olson of Tomsriver, NJ; as well as his great granddaughter AvyAnna Olson and his sister Doreen Visacaro of Florida. As well as many nieces and nephews.
