He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Doerman and Lula Doerman; his daughter Melanie Doerman; and his brothers, Thomas James and William Christopher Doerman.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Lee Doerman; his sons, Michael Doerman (Angie) and Matthew Doerman; his grandchildren, Allison and Mark Doerman; and his brother Lloyd Victor Doerman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
