He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gibson and Alice Mae Sturgill Gibson; and his brother Dwayne Gibson. He is survived by: his brothers, Wardell Gibson of Hebron and Richard Gibson (Linda) of The Villages. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, face masks must be worn, and attendance is limited to 50% of the funeral home capacity while still maintaining six feet of social distance.
