He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Hounshell (Lee) of West Liberty, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Hounshell (Zackery Kitchen) of West Liberty, Kentucky, Cameron Hounshell of West Liberty, Kentucky, Caleb Hounshell of West Liberty, Kentucky, Haley Hounshell of West Liberty, Kentucky and Katjalyn Hounshell of West Liberty, Kentucky; and his siblings, Eugene Spaulding (Lois) of Slade, Kentucky and Josephine Ratliff of Ezel, Kentucky.
