He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Nickell and Myrtle Nickell; and his wife Darlene Collins Nickell. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Standish (Ryan) of Somerset, KY and John Nickell of Hazel Green, KY.; his granddaughter Ashleigh Nickell of Morehead, KY; and his sister-in-law Betty Nickell of Hazel Green, KY.
