With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Jane York of Hazard, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wood and Pauline Wood (Nixon); and her siblings, Barbara Holifield and Robert "Buddy" Wood. She is survived by: her husband Larry York; her children, Tabitha York (Wilson), Daniel York and David York (Sonya); her sisters, Glenda Townsend (Ben) and Janice Banderman (Stan); her grandchildren, Tyler, Lara, Jacob, Avery, Phoebe, Penelope, Wilson Jr., Patrick and Emilianne; her great grandchildren, Zelda, Brantley, Elliott, Rhys and Doug; and her pet Missy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
