We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2024, at the age of 97, Mabel C. Wells (Hazard, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lane Fields and Lucy Hamilton Fields; her husband Jerry Wells; her son Willis Ray Campbell; and her siblings, Dock Fields, Billy Ray Fields, Sarah Combs and Bertha Eversole.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene Campbell (Billie Sue), Wilma Sizemore of Brownsfork and Karen Smith of Big Creek, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Brent Campbell, Kim Roper, Willis Ray Campbell, Jr., Pam Combs, Tammy Gayheart, Bridgette Brown, Megan Smith and Luellen Begley. She is also survived by great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
