He is survived by: his son Bart Francis of Hazard; his sisters, Verley Dotson and Sandra Hall; his nieces and nephews, Kim Hazelwood, Vickie Lacy, Blake Dotson, Dale Jarrell, Collette Jarrell, Joan Frederick, Jean Doyle, Mike Newsome and Angela McClain; and his friend Donna Damron.
