He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Morgan, Sr. and Viola Clour Morgan; and his siblings, Donald, Edith and Arletta.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Lora Gail Hunter (Wendell) and Anthony Morgan; his siblings, Betty L. Fletcher, Josephine Jones and Elmer Jones (Florence) of Hazard, KY; his grandchildren, Bobbie Jean Thompson (Eric) of Cincinnati, OH and James Arthur Owens (Kari) of Lawrenceburg, KY; his great grandchildren, Erica Marie Thompson (Jordan) of Cincinnati, OH and Ethan Morgan Thompson of Cincinnati, OH; and his great great grandchildren, Teagan Grace and Myles Martin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the View Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Hunter Memorial Baptist Church.
