He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard C. Lamar and Buelah Lamar; his wife Barbara Lamar; and his siblings, Aileen Adkins, Iantha Gaynor, Barbara Moore and Rickey Lamar.
He is survived by: his children, Kelley Richardson (Bobby), Karin Haines (Charlie), Kevin Lamar (Stephanie) and Keith Lamar; his grandchildren, Jonathan Lamar, Lauren Napier (Derrick), Alexa Osborne (Kyle), Chase Haines (Alvion), Danica Bullock (Jeremy), Tyler Lamar, Corey Richardson, Charley Hardin (Josh) and Chandler Haines (Addie); his great grandchildren, Ellis Napier, Kiya Napier, Zadie Napier and Piper Osborne; and his sister Eloise Edwards. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
