He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Gregory and Mildred Eugene Kennedy Wheatley; and his siblings, Vickie Ann Wheatley, Martha Jean Wheatley Lee, Theresa Huffines and Rev. Robert Carroll Wheatley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Banks Wheatley; his children, Darlene Kay Butler (Bill) and Robert "Bob" Earl Pate (Beth); his grandchildren, Samantha Jo Edge (Joe), Brandon Lee Sapp (Amber), Mathew Bryce Pate, Ella Corinne Pate and Kayla Louise Butler; and his great grandchildren, Joseph Sterling Edge and Oliver Clark Edge.
The family request all donations be made to either Hospice of Western Kentucky or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
