It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Cartwright Smith (Hawesville, Kentucky), who passed away on August 25, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Cartwright and Audrey Nix Cartwright; her grandson Nicholas Nix; and her siblings, Sadie Shrader, Billy, Claudie, Roger and Mickey Cartwright.
She is survived by: her husband William Smith; her children, Thelma Crabtree (Greg), Norma Spencer (Paul), Wayne McManaway (Tammy), Kenny Smith, Eric Smith and Scott Smith; her grandchildren, Misty Gilley, Mendy Hayes, Whitney Basham, Courtney White, Rayleigh Spencer, Keith Nix, Jason Nix, Justin Basham, Shawn McManaway, Cody McManaway and Jeremy McManaway; and her sisters, Mary Cartwright and Linda Windham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
