He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Lawson and Nancy Lawson (Gough); his wife Marilyn Lawson; his sister Christine Allen; and his brother-in-law John Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Lawson (Donna) of Daviess County, KY, Resa Silcox of Cincinnati, OH, Jeff Lawson of Cannelton, Kimberly Reed (Larry) of Millstone and James Lawson, Jr. (Renae) of Cannelton; and his siblings, Pam Hunt (Jim) of Utica, Lori Estes (Darrell) of Lewisport, Sandy Estes of Hawesville and Cindy Lawson of Somerset, KY. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
