It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donn K. Wimmer of Hawesville, Kentucky, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wimmer and Bernice Wimmer; his brother Richard "Dick" Wimmer; his daughter Suzanne Wimmer; and his wife Juanita Wimmer.
He is survived by: his sister Patricia Engle; his children, Linda Dillon, Jennifer Wimmer and Steve Wimmer; his granddaughters, Kristina Gravett, Ashley d'Oliveira, Cedar, Jiah David and Arwen; and his nieces and nephews, Lori Marsh, Debbie Wimmer, Gay Holder, David Holder, Rick Holder, Mark Wimmer and Jeff Wimmer.
He also played a role in many local organizations including the Hancock County Industrial Foundation.
