He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Noveda Lockard; his children, Charles William "Bubba" Scherer III (Cheryl) of Houston, TX, Chrissi Scherer of Hawesville, Kathy McBride (Johnny) of New Orleans, LA and Lori Seaton (Robert) of New Orleans; his grandchildren, Ashlee Kraus (Jimmus) of Hawesville, Jake Scherer (Trish) of Houston, TX, Ginny Moore, Alan Seaton (Beth) of Metairie, LA, Johnny Scherer of Slidell, LA and Philip Seaton (Krista) of Gretna, LA; his sister Mary Elizabeth Stephens of Louisville; and his granddaughter Jan Walker of Hawesville. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
