He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Vernon and Phyllis Small Hayes. He is survived by: his children, April Hayes, Eugene Hayes and Adam Hayes; his fiancée Paula Carman; his grandchildren, Terry Hayes, Sarah Hayes, River Saltsman and Jarrett Hayes; and his siblings, Billie Hayes and Carl Hornback. He is also survived by loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
