He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Sumner of Hartford; his children, David Shelton, Michael Sumner (Jodi), Shellie Combs (Rick), Joel Sumner (Mary), Matthew Sumner and Natalie Sumner; his brother Mitchell Sumner (Julie); his grandchildren, Bryan, Cody, Chandler (Allison), Braxton, Luke, Julia, Abigail (Joesph), Joel Dylan, Ellijah, Warren, Isaac, Olivia, Waylon and Ezamae; and his caregiver Brianne Milligan-Cantu. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
