He was predeceased by: his parents, Lexie Utley and Pearl Gillim Utley; and his brother Lexie Utley, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Utley (Peters) of Hartford; his children, David Utley of Morgantown and Brenda Wilkins (Sam) of Chesapeake; his sister Regina Hudson of Beda Community; and his grandchildren, Anthony Utley, Amy Wilkins and Jennifer Maupin. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
