He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Higginbotham and Loy Higginbotham; his sister Dorothy Jean Martin; and his daughter-in-law Melanee Higginbotham. He is survived by: his wife Lena Higginbotham; his children, Darrell Higginbotham (Denise), Ron Higginbotham, Debbie Phelps (Paul K.) and Susan Dockery (Ricky); his grandchildren, Nathan Higginbotham (Elizabeth), Dayne Higginbotham (Mary), Amber Gray (Matt), Drew Higginbotham (Parker), Jeremy Higginbotham, Josh Higginbotham (Natalie), Kyle Higginbotham (Shelby), Nathan Phelps (Jennifer), Nick Phelps (Lindsay), Jordan Phelps (Bailey), Austin Dockery (Amethyst) and Adrianna Segers (Austin); and his brother Harvey Higginbotham (Brenda). He is also survived by his children and grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
