He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alvin and Mary E. Saling Thompson; and his brother Danny Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Frizzell Thompson of Hartford; his siblings, Gary "Rockie" Thompson (Pam) of Rochester, Cheryl Givens (Mark) of Echols, Judy Smith of Owensboro, Maria Keith (Joe) of Lewisburg, Bonnie Gogel of Echols and Steve Dowell (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Conner Bratcher, Max Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Nolan Thompson, Griffin Thompson, Jaxon Reed, Ezra Reed, Lincoln Reed and Holden Reed.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hartford Christian Church (122 Walnut St, Hartford, KY 42347). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Echols Cemetery.
His last gift was having the honor of donating bone and tissue to help save the lives of others.
