With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Rucker of Hartford, Kentucky, born in Eminence, Kentucky, who passed away on August 24, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lawson and Leona Lawson; her husband Emmett Rucker of Hartford; and her granddaughter Tabitha Leak-Hackner of Owensboro. She is survived by: her daughter Lovelen Irene Leak of Owensboro; her grandchildren, April Leak Olinger of Owensboro and Demetris Leak of Evansville, IN; her great grandchildren, LaTosha Simms (Tyler) of Central City, Key'Choina Meriwether, My'Kel Smith of Owensboro and Sheldon Clay of Indianapolis, IN; her great great grandchildren, Key'Oliss-Major Meyer, Dia'Ryan Thruston and Messiah Aubrey of Owensboro; and her close friend Betty J. McCreary. She is also survived by brother, stepchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
