With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wilma Jean Deringer (Harrodsburg, Kentucky), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Wilma Jean left this world on January 3, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Benton Deringer; her parents, Herbert Lyons and Bessie Robinson Lyons; her son Ronnie Allen Deringer; and her brothers, Leroy, Donald, Pete, Garnett, Earl, Charlie, Lawrence and Buford Lyons.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Lester (William) of Mercer County, Ruth Ann Jojola (Pete) of Albuquerque, NM, Wayne Deringer (Rose C.) of Mercer County and William Deringer (Dianna) of Mercer County; and her siblings, David Lyons (Joie), Wanda Coslow of Harrodsburg, Joyce Blacketer of Harrodsburg and Rita Hicks (Clarence) of Harrodsburg. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home (304 E Lexington St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
