We bid farewell to Wayne King Hughes of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, born in Lexington, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2025 at the age of 93. Wayne King touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Wayne King may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wayne King touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Margaret Hughes; his daughter Janet Lynn Hughes; and his parents, Herman Hughes and Tina Hughes. He is survived by: his brother Johnny Hughes; his grandsons, Tyler Weathers (Brittany) and Cory Weathers; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Heidi and Holden Weathers.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - E. Main (463 E Main St, Lexington, KY 40507).
