He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth and John Bradley Godfrey Sr.; and his brothers, George Henry Godfrey, John Bradley Godfrey Jr., William Washington Godfrey, Kenneth Lee Godfrey and Timothy Wayne Godfrey.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Oscar Godfrey (Linda) of Lexington, KY, Joseph Edward Godfrey of Atlanta, GE and Betty Godfrey-Shannon of Missouri; his friend James Garland; and his sister Willie Mae Garland-Honshul. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
