She is survived by: her husband James Ray Thurman; her children, James Farnada Lyons of Cincinnati, Leigh Anne Hayes (Eric) of Lexington, Jacquelyn Ross Thurman of Cincinnati, Candace Yvette Watkins (Stephon) of Lexington and Marceline Bottoms (Kenton) of Lawrenceburg; and her siblings, Carolyn Vandivier of Cincinnati, Sederia Ford (Jerry) of Harrodsburg, Cecelia Muhammad (Wasin) of Harrodsburg and Leon Van Dyke, Jr. (Kathryn) of Harrodsburg.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Peter AME Church (225 W Lexington St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Maple Grove Cemetery (407 Cornishville St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330).
