He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nield and Ethel Ross Nield; and his siblings, Kenny Nield, Margaret Weldon and Juanita Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Alta Allen Nield; his daughters, Theresa Robbins (Mike) of Stanford and Donna Bryington (Billy) of Danville; his grandchildren, Jeremy Robbins (Rayna), Matthew Robbins, Billy Joe Bryington (Emily) and Miranda Bryington; and his great grandchildren, Jonah and Trezalyn Robbins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
