He is survived by: his children, Michael "Mickey" Stephens and Kari Carden (Ron); and his siblings, Charles Ridener of Indiana, Fred Stephens of Ohio, Rosetta Gregory of Ohio, Shelby Jean Collett of Harlan, Phyllis Geneva Stephens of Danville and Betty Sue Patton of Alexander City, Alabama. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
