He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Smith and Rosie Lee Baker Smith; his daughter Shaila Hibbard; his brothers, Jackie Rhodus, Sanford Lee Rhodus, John R. Rhodus and Bill Smith; and his grandchildren, James Phillips, Alissa Hibbard and Kylie Jo Hibbard.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Diane Pinkston Smith; his children, Cindy Walker (Marvin) of Lancaster and Robert Kerns (Melissa) of Nicholasville; his brother Donnie Gene Smith of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Triston Keith, Kendra Faught, Emily Kerns and Chase Kerns; and his great grandchildren, Kayden Steward, Bryson Faught, Sophia Faught, Ryan Faught and Madison Keith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home (304 E Lexington St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion (529 N Greenville St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330).
