It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Charles Gast (Harrodsburg, Kentucky), born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Gast and Laverne Hitz Gast. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Whitcomb (Tom) of Omaha and Cari VanMessel (John) of Tampa; his grandchildren, Savannah, Thomas, Gabrielle, Barrett, Elijah and Elise Whitcomb; his great grandchild Zivad Whitcomb; and his close friend Rita Baker.
