With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Guy Held Simmons Jr. of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, born in Macon, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Held and Bertha Mae Simmons Sr. (Nee Glover); his daughter Tracy Simmons; his stepson Eric Scott; his daughters-in-law, Angel and Shirly; and his sister Mary Ellen Simmons Bewley.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Simmons (Roth) of Harrodsburg, KY; his children, Sarah Rougeux (Tom), Lydia Simmons, Scott Simmons and David Simmons (Jennifer); his stepson Steven; his grandchildren, Lillian Rougeux, Samuel Rougeux, Peter Rougeux, Cecilia Rougeux, Lucas Simmons, Weston Simmons, Christopher Cherosky, Hanna Hume (Larry Lane) and Lindsey; and his great grandchildren, Harper Mosco, Isla Simmons, Kaden Hume and Ledger Hume. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
