George C. Piper Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2025, at the age of 86, George C. Piper of Harrodsburg, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact George had on those he encountered along his journey. Though George may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, William B. Bowman of Houston, Texas, Robert L. Piper of New Bedford, Massachusetts and David Z. Piper. He is survived by: his wife Sally S. Piper; and his children, Jennifer Anne Piper of Lexington and Geoffrey Chilton Piper of Denver, Colorado.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in the names of his parents (Lewis A. Piper and Anna Z. Piper) to Midway University of Midway, Kentucky, where George's father Lewis was President for twenty-five years, and in George's name to the Salvation Army of Lexington, KY and the Lexington Humane Society.
