He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Ruben Matthews and Maggie Crosthwaite Mattews; his sister Wanda Pavord; and his former wife Marianne Royden Matthews. He is survived by: his son Mark (Lisa); his granddaughters, Megan and Taylor; his son Mike; his grandson Jonathan (Britney); his great grandchild Frankie; his daughter Melinda (Richard Johnson); his close friends, Rick Hicks, Bill Martin and Michael Johnson; and his caregiver Jennifer Folton of Caretenders.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
