He was predeceased by: his brothers-in-law, Jack Atwell (Geraldine) and Michael Atwell. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sisters-in-law, Karen Allen (Kirby) and Gail Atwell; and also Dr. Mustafa Kaason.
