She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Kyle and Nellie Mae Ramey; her spouse Bert Elmer Smith Jr.; her son Franklin Alan Smith; and her brothers, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Yocum Kyle.
She is survived by: her children, Nellie Clarke, Lois Teater (Barry), Don Smith, Jo Ann Smith, Bert Smith III (Carole), David Smith and Carolyn Hiles; and her siblings, Mary Sue Kern, Kim Buckingham, Pete, Lawrence and Jack Kyle. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens (4915 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
