He is survived by: his spouse La Bandi Patterson Schaefer; his mother Ellen Schaefer (Meisner); his children, La Kenna Cheyenne Patterson and Gene Lowery Patterson of Danville, KY; his sisters, Janice Hedgespeth of Louisville, KY, Jackie Schaefer of Louisville, KY and Christie Schaefer of Louisville, KY; his sister-in-law Deanna Dee Patterson Serrano; and his nieces and nephews, Chaz, Taylor, Hope, Rainy and Cove.
