He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Calvin Derringer and Nancy Shirleen Yates (Derringer); his stepfather Tommy Yates; his sister Connie Derringer; and his grandparents, Marvin and Rebecca Lay.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Derringer (Stephens); his sons, Kelly Lewis Derringer (Millie) of Crestwood, KY, John Douglas Derringer of Harrodsburg and Mark Thomas Derringer (Abby) of Berea, KY; his sisters, Kathy Pulliam (Roy Lee) of Harrodsburg, Debbie Sue Moss of Harrodsburg and Ann Thomas Huff (Scott) of Harrodsburg; his grandchildren, Colin Joseph Derringer of Berea, KY, Nolan Prentice Derringer of Berea, KY, Griffin Ridge Derringer of Berea, KY, Anderson Thomas Derringer of Berea, KY, Jackson Derringer of Crestwood, Lainey Roth (Josh) of Louisville and Kody Arvin (Marissa) of Lexington; and his great grandchild Piper Roth of Louisville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a host of close friends.
