He was predeceased by: his parents, James Madison Martin and Sally Barger Cooper; his brothers, Houston (Christine) and Hubert (Hazel); and his grandson Dustin Votaw.
He is survived by: his wife Lena Carr Martin; his daughters, Julie Jakway (John) and Susan Abner (Tim); his stepdaughters, Pam Aldridge (Mark) and Penny Mullins; and his grandchildren, Brandan Gravitt (Shane), Nathan Aldridge, Logan Abner (Nerissa), Travis Votaw (Cecilia), Katie Aldridge and Janie Aldridge. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
