He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Sims Collier; his sons, William Curtis Duff of Harrodsburg and Earl Matthew Sims of Williamsburg; his sister Beuna Grigsby of Harrodsburg; his grandsons, Nathan, Landon, Cooper, Gus and Elijah Sims; and his pets, Duck and Maggie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
