She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Hale and Elizabeth Howell Hale; and her brothers, Mattison "Buck" Hale, Jack Hale, Kane Hale and Larry Hale.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Eugene Maynard of Gulnare; her daughters, Eugena Alderman (Timothy Ray) of Dana and Elizabeth Maynard-Johnson (Christopher) of Harold, Kentucky; her grandson Charles Brennan Alderman (Cassie) of Dana, Kentucky; her great grandchildren, Charlee Brenn Alderman, Makenna Bostic, Peyton Bostic and Bazedon Bostic; and her sisters, Glenda Layne (Porter Preston) of Cotton Town and Clara Friar of Allen, Kentucky. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children in memory of Bessie Hale Maynard.
