He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Conley Cornett and Hannah Eliza Earls Cornett; his son Conley "Buster" Cornett; and his siblings, Shirley Cornett, Flora Rose Cornett, Jimmy Ray Cornett and William Gordon Cornett.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Trena Durbin; his children, Kathy Jones (Roy) of Barbourville, KY, Hannah Mulligan (David) of Oneida, TN and William "Tom" Durbin (Tamara Nelson) of Hardinsburg, KY; his brother Gary Cornett of Irvington; his grandchildren, Cole Jones, Landon Jones, David Earl Mulligan (Kasey), Rebekah Turner (Cody), Matthew Mulligan, Conner Cornett, Estella Cornett, Samara Cornett and Asher Reid Durbin; and his great grandchildren, Arnessa Mulligan and Grayson Mulligan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
