He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Wilson Sr. and Rosie Wilson Moss of Harlan, KY.; his wife Martha Sue Wilson; his stepfather Jimmy Moss; his siblings, Arliss Wilson, Virgil Wilson Jr. (Ann), Wanda Rice and Nancy Jewell Bowling (Don); and his nephews, Donald Ray Bowling Jr., Jason Wilson, Virgil Wilson III and James Massengale.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Wilson (Becky), Krystal Lawson (Teddy), Bridget Wilson, Pam Glisson (Shawn), Arliss Anthony Wilson (Krystin) and Hollace Wilson; his grandchildren, Addisyn, Landon Wilson, Breonna, Aubrey Wilson, Rex Glisson and Hunter Ramsey (Shonteen); his great grandchild Elisabeth Ramsey; his brothers, Larry Wilson (Dorothy) and Denny Wilson (Judy); and his sister-in-law Beverly Wilson.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
