He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Ray Rice and Verda Asher Rice; his wife Kathleen G. Rice; his sons, Robin David Rice and William D. Rice; and his brother King Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Williams (Silas Mac) of London, KY, Timothy C. Rice (Cheryl) of Harlan and Samuel D. Rice of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Steven D. Rice, Stewart B. Rice (Kaci), Sarah Sellars (Ron), Tyler Mac Williams (Christie), Annie Laurie Voelkert (Chad), Robin David Rice, Jessica Pfister (Glenn) and Tyler Storm Rice; and his sister-in-law Joy Marsh Rice of Wilmore, KY.. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
